What to do in CDMX: Unmissable activities in the city
Ranked as one of the largest and most fascinating cities in the world, CDMX is the northernmost capital in Latin America. Here, powerful ancestral culture blends seamlessly with the contemporary, the urban with the natural, and the popular with the sophisticated. You’ll find traces of history in every corner, as well as flavours and emotions that can only be experienced in this city.
Among its must-do cultural activities is a stroll through the Historic Centre, which represents the origin of this city, once known as “The Great Tenochtitlán”. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it features Aztec archaeological remains alongside significant colonial landmarks.
The neighbourhoods of Coyoacán, the famous Roma and Condesa districts, offer beautiful tourist routes in Mexico City. They showcase parks, cafés, and vibrant cultural activity—because wherever you look, something interesting is happening!
Chapultepec, meanwhile, is one of the largest urban parks in the world, home to museums and scenic walks that can be enjoyed on foot or by bicycle, with lakes and the imposing Chapultepec Castle crowning its landscape. Another iconic landmark is the famed Paseo de la Reforma, which culminates at Chapultepec and is symbolised by the city’s most famous postcard: the Angel of Independence.
With 150 museums, traditional markets like La Merced or San Juan (offering internationally renowned cuisine), and a city that never sleeps—where day and night are filled with surprises—CDMX guarantees a first-class travel experience, warmed by the hospitality of its people.
Recommendation: Explore the Historic Centre on foot, starting from the Zócalo/Tenochtitlán Metro station to Paseo de la Reforma and Alameda.
